What a coincidence!

Would you look at that! I could be mistaken, but this picture of the Jeb Stuart monument in Richmond looks strangely like the monument pictured here on the blog webpage. And since I used to reside in the Richmond area, that would make my choice of templates a serendipitous choice. There’s your word for the day boys and girls!

Speaking of Richmond brings me back to my comment about the city of Morganton earlier. Having experienced the city of Richmond and the city of Portland, ME, Morganton seems more like a town to me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the small town feel of this wonderful new home of mine. But it just seems really strange to call it a city. So curiousity being a large part of my DNA structure, I went looking for the difference. It all has to do with government. Go figure! The tiny town of Limington, ME could become a city if they were granted governing privileges. Now that’s a scary thought. Because I grew up there. There must be guidelines I would suppose. And perhaps the guidelines are different in each state. But I’m not that curious. I’ll just accept the fact that Morganton is a city…and as thus makes me pay both county and city taxes. Now that’s got to be an incentive for becoming incorporated huh? Let’s hope it doesn’t give Limington any ideas.
