It seems like I’m always apologizing for my absence here at PGG. It’s not that I don’t have every intention of posting here regularly, but somehow during the course of my week, the intention is overridden by a myriad of things. Although Princess Girly Girl was my first foray into the world of blogging, and as such will always be a part of who I am, I’ve got this business thing going on. Yeah, that. I now maintain a biz blog as well as being a contributing editor for a growing website geared toward home based offices. Oh and don’t forget the e-books. Yup, I’ve written my first e-book and am gearing up toward writing another. Both are business related, but who knows, perhaps in the not too distant future I’ll write a Princess Girly Girl retrospective. Complete with opinions of course.
So anyway, with all of that writing I’m doing for business, trying to switch gears and write from a personal perspective can be hard.
So what’s up in the pink castle? My daughter and her boyfriend of 6 months just moved into their own apartment yesterday. And I’m anticipating the departure of my son as he heads to North Carolina for college in August. Of course, I’m going to take the opportunity to take a quick trip down myself, as I’m hoping to follow him by October.
My business is going well, not as many clients as I’d like right now, but tons of contacts and networking, as well as some exciting collaborations in the near future. Still, I’m working on manifesting the money to move, as right now the penny jar is pretty empty.
And just when you think a jackass can’t do anything to surprise you…my ex withdrew all support of my son the day he turned 18. No warning. No concerns. Just. Done. Now I know there are guys out there that will want me to understand that they should be able to do that, and I agree, but not when you’ve abused a wife and two children for 17 years without ever having to pay a penalty. No, in that case I think you should have to provide some sort of help a bit longer. At least until the boy is off to college. Am I wrong?
It’s good to be back dear readers and I PROMISE to try to pop in at least once a week to keep PGG fresh and flirty.
